High performance fiberglass fabric that has been impregnated
with PTFE is used to make PTFE coated fiberglass adhesive tape. The film is
used as the foundation material and is single surface treated before being
coated in silicone pressure-sensitive adhesive. The tape is made to withstand
chemicals and run for extended periods of time in high temperatures. The
protective jaws and heat-sealing cables on bag and L-sealing machines are
frequently covered by PTFE adhesive tapes used as release tapes. In blister and
vacuum packing processes, they are also utilized. Film and plastic from melting
can't accumulate on the surface of non-stick PTFE materials.
- Elevated Resistance to Temperature: PTFE is renowned for having outstanding heat resistance. The resulting tape can endure high temperatures when coupled with fiberglass, which makes it appropriate for use in manufacturing, automotive, and aerospace industries.
- Resistance to Chemicals: PTFE has a strong resistance to solvents, acids, and chemicals. The fiberglass tape's coating acts as a barrier to protect it, so it can be used in settings where exposure to strong chemicals is a risk.
- The non-stick qualities: PTFE's non-stick qualities are widely recognized, coated fiber glasstape finds frequent use in applications requiring a non-stick surface, including heat sealing, food processing equipment, and packaging machines.
- Gasketing & Sealing: The tape's non-stick qualities and resilience to heat and chemicals make it suitable for use in gasketing and sealing applications.
- Packaging Sector: In the packaging business, PTFE-coated fiberglass tape is frequently utilized as a release liner for adhesive goods and in heat-sealing applications.
- Food preparation: For uses in the food sector where a non-stick surface is necessary, including on baking sheets and conveyor belts, PTFE coated fiberglass tape is used.
- Insulation against heat: Because the tape can tolerate high temperatures and act as a barrier against heat, it can be used in thermal insulation applications.
When a material with PTFE coating is needed for electrical
insulation, chemical resistance, high temperature resistance, or non-stick
qualities, it is used in a variety of industrial applications. Because of its
special qualities, it can be used to solve problems in a variety of technical
and manufacturing applications.
